Our Shelter

Catshala is a unique shelter exclusively for cats which is a beacon of hope for 200 rescued cats, making it the sole shelter of its kind in India. These cats, all hailing from varied backgrounds of illness and accidents, find solace and care under the compassionate wings of Tanya Singh, the foundation’s founder. Catshala is a huge shelter built upon 16000 square feet area which provides a complete natural habitat for the cats like huge lawn, trees to play upon, wheatstraw shed to relax and Catshala have a capacity to accommodate approximately 500 cats.

What We Do

We have rescued over 3000 street cats in distress and also captured over 500 cats for TNR. We get their treatments done simultaneously their vaccinations and sterilizations for birth control. We also feed around 200 cats in streets of Delhi. We run adoption drives often to find them good home and giving shelter to those who does not gets adopted.

Our Mission

We started this foundation with the very clear goal of rescuing maximum number of cats who are facing danger in streets, being attacked by dogs, crushed under vehicles starve to death. Soon we will start running TNR campaigns in the different states to control birth and give the cats a quality life. We will soon start awareness programs about cats so that we can get more helping hands for these fur babies. And lastly we want at least one exclusive cat shelter Catshala in every state of India to provide them safe roof.
